Pros
The company has generous remuneration. There is a relatively easy going atmosphere. Quite a good set of analytical tools are available. Opportunity to transfer to the Chicago or London Office. Junior traders are often able to get experience trading on different desks before being allocated a more long term desk. (All for Sydney office only)
Cons
In recent years in particular trading technology has been lagging behind competitors and IT support/quant support is sparse relative to competitors. There is a high turnover rate and major cost cutting recently has led to a poorer culture although this may improve in the future. Traders now work in teams on each index which may not suit every traders style. Management is very strict on how sheets are marked which may not suit every traders approach. 2 weeks annual leave allowed at a time only unless it's a honeymoon. (All for Sydney office only)
