Pros

Some people at the agency are nice, talented people who genuinely want to help those on their team grow. If you have a good manager, you’ll be fine — unfortunately they’re few and far between.

Cons

Senior leadership team is filled with under-qualified “marketers” who just want to hear themselves talk. They may sound smart and inspiring at first, but after a few meetings you’ll come to realize it’s all just industry buzzwords and recycled ideas. As of 2021, the CEO is still bragging to employees about his experience with MYSPACE. The pay is below market rate and the clients are C-list at best. If you’re looking to grow in your career, have a decent work life balance, and gain valuable experience, look elsewhere. However, if you enjoy being micromanaged and listening to 30-year-olds wax poetic about TikTok, then Lippe Taylor is the place for you!

Pros

There were genuinely some smart, kind, and hardworking people on the team. A few colleagues made difficult days more manageable, and I did learn from individuals who cared about doing great work.

Cons

The environment felt tense and adversarial. Competition between employees was not just common, it felt encouraged. I was directly and indirectly pushed to shift blame onto others or distance myself from teammates to protect my own standing. That dynamic created distrust and constant anxiety rather than collaboration. Leadership played a significant role in shaping this atmosphere. Decisions around performance, visibility, and advancement often seemed to reward internal politics over teamwork. Instead of building people up, the culture felt like it operated through elimination. Morale was low, turnover was noticeable, and there was a broader sense of instability within the industry that made long term growth feel uncertain.
