Pros
Stabile - literally been around more than 100 years. Being a family business there is little or no bureaucracy. Decisions are quick and final. The physical environment is pleasant for administrative employees and ok for production people
Cons
Not really going to be a place from which you can retire or make a long time commitment. The level of micromanagement is staggering. If you want to grow as a manager, this is not the place you want to go. You spend so much time on little junk, you can never get anywhere to point you believe you have done any significant work. Ownership is more worried about personal comfort than advancement of the company and the people within it.
