Pros

This has been a wonderful place to work learn and grow I love the drive behind the company and bringing energy storage to US and hopefully one day the manufacturing and all the cool projects that come with that. all years except this one for me have been 5 stars its easy to be creative and talk to people about ideas i feel there is a great work culture established with plenty of things to work on and improve from products to processes, and documentation energy storage i think is an awesome field to work in and profit from there are many great products to get involved in and try out and even take home for a weekend. at least for me the products have been a great benefit to learn about while working here. People are also great here to talk to and be with the company has grown a lot over the past 5 years, and when i was starting it was really cool to be part of that growth and some growing pains are to be expected which is probably cause for some rocky moments in the past, but all things i think are to be expect and growing is great. the worry i have that I'll go over in the cons is I'm worried the growing pains are going to be sticking around a lot longer than they should

Cons

the cons i have really only had a problem with starting this year even though some problems have been going on longer i have been fine with it because the company was growing and changing, but lately it felt a lot like every team has been on the back foot and i think its largely because we seem to shift focus and direction so much. now your suppose to adapt and change but i just feel we do it too frequently and suddenly we never have time to get a product or process established so that we can rely on it in the future and things seem to be left partly completed, something that i think is much easier to do when your a small company with a handful of people it makes for much easier changes, but now that its grown it still seems like management has the same mentality when it was smaller and i feel its causing frustration and wasted work and because of all the direction changes i feel its costed the company a lot of money and i feel they want to be generous to their employees they just don't or can't because of all the cost of switching things up and things not having time to pan out yet this is just what i have seen i do respect management I don't see what they see, and think it's a very hard job and they have gotten the company this far, but i do think they may need to see the situation from other view as well, and do like how positive they encourage us to view things but sometimes it does feel empty and like they haven't heard it from others view if we can figure out how to better handle the growing pains at all levels then i think the company will be a lot better.

Pros

I love the culture. I love the fact that Lion Energy looks to hire from its existing pool of employees first.

Cons

Sometimes we give people too many chances when they aren't doing anything to become better or address performance concerns.

Pros

Great place for learning and growth, the people are what truly keep this company going. Many are often doing the work of two or three people due to being understaffed, but everyone remains committed and helps make the work environment enjoyable.

Cons

Much of the hard work done by employees seems to be undermined by executive leadership, with the exception of the CTO. There is a significant disconnect between the C-suite and the rest of the company; executives rarely interact with employees, resulting in little sense of company culture. Employee well-being does not appear to be a priority. Additionally, the CEO’s communication style is ineffective and would benefit from professional PR or leadership communication training. There is a lack of transparency around processes, making it difficult to build on what has already been accomplished. Dealing with health benefits is unnecessarily challenging. Many employees view Lion as a place to stay for a few years and then leave, as it does not feel sustainable long term. There is limited support from management, and employees often have to constantly “manage up” to get things done.
