Pros

Can't really think of any. Handful of good people trying their best overshadowed by incompetent colleagues with a massive, yet fragile ego. Some males need to bolster their ego with some younger females at the office.

Cons

The reason you do not see much turnover for this company on Linkedin is because many ex employees remove Lineup off their Linkedin profile. I left after two months - the interview process is absolutely misleading. It seems you are being handed a decent pipeline to take over yet it's a completely dead pipeline. Reason given for predecessor leaving incorrect. Technology is outdated and NOT competitive in the digital landscape, company still lives in the old print days and barely understands the digital advertising sales process. Going into sales pitches without even understanding the clients requirements or pain points. Old school sales pitch, all about features and not benefits. No go-to-market strategy. Just throw a bucket with sticky stuff on the wall and see what sticks. Desperate to close deals and will bend over backwards to do so. Which means they will overpromise, offer extremely complex solutions which eventually fail - tech and deployment teams under immense pressure and in constant panic mode trying to fix things that should have never been implemented in the first place. Some individuals in the company have been there for so long, they are part of the furniture, have an overestimated view of themselves without realising that they are actually holding the company back creating massive bottlenecks. They live in their own little bubble without realising how out of touch they are with reality. They think they work for an edgy, fast paced tech company. Makes me laugh. People also don't seem to have any accountability. If a box needs to be ticked to move a tech support ticket ahead in the queue and someone, who is responsible for something else will notice that this is the reason something isn't moving ahead, they will not tick the box because it's not their job to do so. Also massive blame culture, siloed teams who seem to work against each other instead of working towards a common goal. Extremely toxic environment, some people thrive on gossip and drama. Never seen so much disrespect and petty behaviour before. Senior Leadership needs more than just training, some of them need to be exchanged so those, who are actually good and who care, can move the company to the next level. But I doubt that will happen since there's zero leadership qualities in the CEO too. I have come from a really fast paced and fast changing background of Silicon Valley Tech start ups and been through a number of acquisitions. I am used to thinking on my feet, moving fast and getting results and enjoy such an environment. Lineup was a real shock to my system. I felt I was transported back to the 80s at Lineup. Slow, not innovative, stubborn and stuck in their old ways. Some of the things I experienced actually made me wonder if I'm in some South London version of The Office.

Thank you for your feedback. We are always working to improve our hiring process and better communicate expectations upfront with new hires. We recognize that working for a smaller company is not for everyone, as this environment requires each employee to roll up their sleeves and remain highly involved across the business. This is why the job description for this role encompasses a lot of senior responsibilities, including pipeline development, refining sales pitches, and developing a go-to-market strategy for your assigned region. I can understand why this might not match your previous experience in Silicon Valley, where a similarly titled role may entail managing a large sales team or having a full pipeline handed to you on day one. Perhaps if you had stayed on longer than two months, this would have become clearer. Your feedback will help us better communicate expectations when hiring for this and similar roles within our business. As for our product, we regret that you did not believe it to be competitive – our global customer base seems to disagree . However, it is never a rewarding position to be selling an enterprise product you do not believe in, and I can understand how that opinion might have overshadowed your positive experiences at Lineup. I sincerely wish you the very best in your search for a great fit for you and your career goals.
