Pros

Home healthcare is personally very rewarding and I enjoy working with the largely geriatric population the company serves. Opportunity to transition into healthcare from other fields without prior experience in the industry.

Cons

Upper management does not value frontline employees, the salaries are not commensurate with the responsiblities and the benefits are not what you would expect from a reputable healthcare company of this size. Equipment and staff are stretched thin and you will find very little sympathy from upper management. The company does not hire part time employees to relieve the 24/7 schedules and you are constantly "on call".
