Pros
- Location in Mont Kiara so there's a lot of food options (albeit all a little expensive) - No rigidity in working hours. Even though work officially starts at 9AM, you can come in at 9.30AM. Some even come close to 10AM. - Prayer room within the office together with ablution area. - Competitive pay - Pro-vax. The company gave incentives for employees who went for their COVID-19 vaccination.
Cons
- The environment is pretty toxic. People tend to gossip about each other to build relationships. - Not as diverse as touted. When I was there, there was a team that was 90% one-race. Could be coincidental, but I thought that was a little odd. - Favouritism. During the pandemic, every team proved that work can be done even though everyone was at home. But I had to come to back to office once the restrictions were lifted, while the other team could freely go on rotation. - No transparency for COVID-19 cases between employees. There were several cases that happened at the fulfilment centres, where we had to go on certain days for photoshoots. We were not informed on COVID-19 cases that were happening there, exposing ourselves to risk of catching it as well. - Passive-aggressiveness from upper management. I initially resigned because the company no longer fit my values, and then was cut off access without any notice by the end of the week. After much prodding, the company only then issued a letter stating that they were giving me "paid leaves" until my notice is completed. I was not given any reason as to why my access was cut off in the first place. - No career growth. The company was expanding rapidly, but there wasn't a lot of internal promotions going on. - Expensive parking. Parking is around RM200 per month and it is not subsidised.
