Pros

Great department culture and good overall company culture. Flexible work spaces with remote options. Online holiday events.

Cons

Pay is less than competitive with no annual raise structure. PE ownership means profits are prioritized over employees. Some transparency issues from leadership.

Pros

Ability to work for companies outside your immediate geographic area. No commute – Saves time and reduces stress, while cutting transportation costs. Variety of work – Can involve lab analysis, consulting, regulatory reviews, or applied research.

Cons

The work environment is extremely toxic due to both upper management and the type of employees they choose to support. Leadership consistently discourages growth and refuses to build within, often belittling those who are trying to learn or adapt. On multiple occasions, I heard staff—including management—speak poorly not only about their own clients, but also about patients’ results, even in sensitive cases involving rehabilitation centers and court-ordered testing. The culture is judgmental and cliquish, where you are expected to follow the pack regardless of your own conscience. Employees who step on others to get ahead, such as Cortney, are favored and promoted, because management values competition over collaboration. This creates an environment where the likelihood of being undermined or thrown under the bus is very high if you’re not part of the “in-group.” Overall, the workplace fosters hostility instead of professionalism, making it an unhealthy place to grow or contribute.
