Pros

Good salary, knowledgeable people, growing industry and untapped markets

Poor management, No Sales, primitive product. CEO leaves a lot to be desired and is a genius at humiliating and bashing his staff. Only a handful of clients.

Thank you for posting your feedback! We take all feedback - from employees, candidates, and clients - very seriously and always appreciate when someone takes the time to share their thoughts or experiences. Like any software product, continuously iterating, learning, and improving is important. And, that's exactly what we are doing at LigaData - creating a top-notch product, engaging excellent people, and meeting market demands through our product and services. You are right that the sector in which LigaData is quite hot and has a lot of opportunity. That's our focus! We have the opportunity to solve real, important, and big problems in security, fraud, telecom and financial services using real-time decisioning and data science. It's a competitive space and requires hard work, dedication, accountability, and a strategic focus to be impactful and value-driven. We have a successful track record of growing our client base, developing new product features that are relevant to business needs, and delivering on our product. However, it sounds like you may have had a difficult experience, and I am sorry for that. One thing at any company, and especially at a start up, is that accountability and delivering an excellent, high integrity, high quality output is paramount to our success. We are a transparent, iterative, growth-minded company. The excitement of being part of a start-up is that each person has a lot of responsibility, has an incredible amount of opportunity, and is accountable for the work they do. And, I am very happy you gave the advice to management about investing in people, processes, and creating streamlined processes. Every start-up goes through a natural evolution. In our 3+ year history, we have grown faster than most start-ups and have been investing time and resources in all the areas you have mentioned. We've come a long way and there's more to go. That's where we are hiring! Our people are fantastic, smart, creative, intent on creating an excellent product, and committed to delivering the best results to clients. Our people and processes drive growth and success for LigaData. If you're interested in learning more about LigaData and our open opportunities go to www.LigaData.com or www.Kamanja.org.

The only good thing in this company is the high monthly salary.

Cons

I feel compelled to write this review to warn any talented professionals considering a role at Ligadata. My experience was, without exaggeration, one of the most unprofessional and demoralizing of my career. As an SME, I entered with enthusiasm, but that was quickly crushed. There is no clear job description; the motto seems to be "you can work on anything!" which is just a corporate way of saying constant chaos and scope creep. This leads directly to a complete lack of work-life balance, as you're constantly pulled in every direction to put out fires. A significant source of this stress was the Delivery Managers. They routinely stressed the employees and made us feel our work was insignificant, constantly micromanaging and dismissing challenges. The hypocrisy was stunning: these same managers would then brag about how the delivery was a success in front of management and clients, taking full credit for the team's hard work while offering no recognition to the actual individuals who made it happen. The most egregious part, and the reason for this review, is how my employment ended. Without any prior warning, discussion, or performance review (I was actually a high achiever on my projects), my contract was terminated in one day. I was simply logged out and received a cold email from HR. There was no respect shown, no explanation given, and no compensation offered. It was a heartless, blink-and-you're-gone execution. This experience showed me that the management does not respect the staff at all. High-performing employees are just as disposable as anyone else. The culture is toxic, with everyone playing the blame game to avoid responsibility. It's a sinking ship where no one is safe. Please, save yourself the immense stress and professional disrespect. Look elsewhere. There are far better companies that value their employees.
