      Pros

      They pay decently. Good benefits.

      Cons

      You will be overworked. You will not be supported when problems arise - and problems will arise. The general attitude at this employer is "Our way or the highway." In my last 5 months at LIFEDesigns, I was doing the responsibilities of 3 positions (Admin. Assistant, Training Coordinator, Office Manager) and the workload of at least 2 employees. Despite 18 dedicated years with this employer, when stress was piled on and I tried to address grievances with superiors, they said "good bye" instead of any attempt to come to a compromise. Only gluttons for punishment should apply to this failing agency.

      Pros

      Great coworkers (fun and positive people to work with), good cause, and rewarding work that allows for passion for the job

      Cons

      There are frequent changes in the team (people leaving and new people hired on) which can feel a bit inconsistent and there are tight budgets as it is a nonprofit organization

      Pros

      It’s very rewarding working with mentally disabled people. It makes you appreciate your life and even can inspire you.

      Cons

      They put to many clients with one person. Puts all clients at risk when they send you one too many. They use the manager title to get you to cover all call offs and get you to handle all situations for little compensation compared to direct service worker.
