The office is just like high school all over again. Nothing but gossip. Staff are over worked incredibly too much. If a staff works 8:00 am - 8:00 pm at a setting and the overnight staff calls in or does not show up, if nobody else can come in then that staff who was just there for 12 hours now has to stay all night WHICH are to be awake overnight shifts, creating the shift to turn into a 24 hour. The staff to client ratio is not okay. The agency needs to put a hold on taking clients in because they simply do not have staff at this moment. Team Managers log AT LEAST 65-70 hours A WEEK. That is not healthy. These people have lives and family they wish to be involved in, but are forced to work because there is nobody to help out. Even when they have an evening off, they are still on call and expected to report to work if something were to happen. Some managers are given two 24 hour settings. How can somebody balance day and night open shifts? Staff need to have a certain amount of hours off before they can report to a shift again after working so long. It is not fair to the Team Managers who get stuck working day shifts on top of overnights to have to come back into the office to take care of bills or something for the clients. THEY NEED TIME OFF TO SLEEP. You have to be able to take care of yourself first before taking care of OTHERS!!
