Unfortunately there are alot more cons than the pros. Caseload being filled will take longer than whatever the recruiter told you. They will tell you that you will not have to do any front office work like collect credit cards or manage appointments. You will have to do those. The advance that they provide to support therapists as they "ramp up" your caseload is a loan. They expect you to pay it back. You are constantly worried about your compensation being complete. You are a W-2 employee in which you get little compensation compared to what you can earn as a 1099 contract employee. You take all of the risks independent private practice therapist. They DO NOT compensate you for no-call no shows and you have to be paranoid about your hours even more than usual.
