Pros

Great team I worked with, looked out for one another and were happy to help each other out with certain tasks/responsibilities.

Cons

Had to pay for our own work equipment in order to work from home (which we were mandated to do). Did not provide any take home work equipment or any sort of compensation for those that needed to purchase additional equipment for work (i.e. laptop, phone, desk, etc.). Due to severe understaffing in other departments, my team was left "holding up the fort" and playing catch up on tasks that were months behind due to understaffing and negligence in these other depts. With one team manning 3 departments, we were told no to any type of pay raise or compensation. HR specifically is not in it to help administration - only upper management. Very little support, communication or honesty from upper management and HR.

Pros

Incredible place to work to build experience, receive supervision while supporting a diverse client population. Extremely flexible hours, opportunity to either work from home or in office with administrative staff. Truly caring, intentional, experienced regional leaders that are open to feedback and value their employees.

Cons

Working in mental health in a publicly held corporation has its conflicts of interest. No paid vacation time for FT employees which is counterintuitive to the work we do as trauma informed providers. No paid training. Profitability and bottom-line results for shareholders should not be reason to think of long term needs and burnout potential of providers.
