Pros

LifeLabs attracts a certain type of people who tend to be categorized as smart, funny, kind, genuinely curious, life-long learners, ambitious, high achieving, and who want to make a real positive difference in the world. It's great to work with people who you want to be friends with, and people who inspire you to do better and be better. The culture is different than any other org I've worked for -- LifeLabs wants work to be a place that you want to be apart of it. It's a hard working culture, but the flexibility in hours, vacation/time off, and ability to work from anywhere is such a huge benefit!

Cons

Consultants have too many clients, and not enough time in a day. There is the expectation to do more with less. They still have a scrappy "startup" culture, and lack some basic systems that would help set people up for success. There are limitations on career mobility because it's a relatively small org with fewer options for growth.

Pros

I've been at LifeLabs for several years, and I have loved the autonomy, commitment to values (not just words here), amazing people (smart and funny and kind - what more could you want?), and growth and learning opportunities I've found at LifeLabs. There's a lot of room for people to make stuff happen - and on the Sales team specifically, self-motivated, driven, and #AlwaysBeLearning-oriented folks are appreciated! I'm also excited about some of the recent investments we've made in bringing in tech that will help people do their jobs (Gong, outside sales training, etc.) While we have a lot of internal expertise, it's making it a lot easier for us to be effective when we can utilize best-in-class tech and learning!

Cons

Less of a con and just more two things to be aware of: 1) Change is a constant here. Even though LifeLabs has been around for more than 10 years, it operates as a startup in many ways. New systems and processes are coming often, so needing to do things the same way all the time doesn't really fly here. 2) Not every role at LifeLabs is designed to be a "lifetime role." The upside of a great culture is retention - people want to stay! The downside is that sometimes roles don't shift to continue responding to the evolving needs of individuals - LifeLabs is a place where you can be happy for years (like I have), but the two majority roles we have (sales and facilitation) don't see a ton of role evolution, so being willing to accept that is important to overall satisfaction.
