Pros

After graduating High School, I interned at LifeBound for a full summer and really was challenged and gained much experience working in a small business. The CEO provided me with valuable tools that I was able to successfully apply at my University. After obtaining my Bachelor's degree, I returned to LifeBound where I worked full-time, building rapport at schools and district administrations in Colorado. This experience greatly increased my sales and interpersonal skills and helped me gain employment at a prestigious large company where I currently work. I recommend young professionals see what employment opportunities are available at LifeBound given my success and lessons learned working with a talented group in a small business.

Cons

Working for a small business can be demanding on time

Pros

-Hard work is recognized and rewarded -The entire staff is supportive and friendly. The company stresses its sense of community, and it felt like I was very much a member of a cohesive team -As an intern I was given enough autonomy to get experience with self directed work. I worked directly with the founder quite a bit and she paid attention to my personal abilities to properly gear how much to prescribe versus let me do on my own. -Gave me a better picture of the inner workings of a small business. I've had other internships where it felt like I was just doing tasks for a supervisor at a company I didn't really know. Lifebound feels much more transparent. I learned more about other positions/jobs within the company. This is partially because of how much everyone works together at all levels, and also because its an honest and welcoming company culture -Beautiful and charming office space -Enthusiastic and mission driven leader

Cons

-Lots of working together can be a con for some people. Collaboration is a big deal and if you prefer to do everything on your own then it might not be a great place for you -It's a small company. It's not as easy to climb an entire career latter at one place unless you're at a larger organization
