Pros

- Meaningful ownership with trust from leadership to drive outcomes end to end - Work is closely tied to real customer needs and business results - Strong access to leadership and exposure to decision-making; it's still an "early" time to join, though this is quickly evolving - Smart, motivated teammates who care about quality and execution, some tirelessly and relentlessly (in a good way) - Significant opportunity to grow quickly by taking initiative

Cons

- Fast pace and evolving priorities require high comfort with ambiguity - Processes and documentation are still maturing as the company scales - Workload can fluctuate/get intense during key launches - Team is understaffed but working hard to catch up on hiring and making meaningful progress - Very high volume environment to onboard into, as far as content to learn and the slack/internal comms pace overall

Pros

The pay and benefits are decent but not competitive with other startups at the same size and stage, as much as the CEO brags he goes “above and beyond” to take care of his employees this way so that you’ll work yourself to the bone and get reminded constantly how replaceable you are. Also it’s always nice to be in a 100% remote work setting but they’re changing that too and shifting to more of a hybrid model.

Cons

No work-life balance, people around you are constantly getting fired by leadership with no explanation except a boiler plate copied and pasted email that is sent out company wide notifying us that person is no longer employed here. The CEO burned his previous startup to the ground (trust me ask his former cofounder) and he and his leadership team set zero expectations for their new hires. They simply expect people to come in and work themselves into the ground to prove they are valuable and if you’re not, you will be fired. He pushed his admin and the recruiter to pressure employees to post positive reviews on Glassdoor so take all of those with a grain of salt. This place is toxic and many others at the company feel this way too, but unfortunately there has already been a culture of fear created from the top down that cannot be undone.
