Pros

- Most coworkers are friendly and easy to work with. - Training is great. You learn quickly because of the high volume of work, for better or worse.

Cons

- The amount of work you do everyday will make you physically ill. Expect to be asked to work Saturdays and even Sundays. If you work here, simply refuse. Projects are just horrifically mismanaged. - Pay is too low given the work. Quarterly rice allowance is a poor substitute. - The company seems unwilling to hire more people in full-time roles. Employees shouldn't have to wear so many hats in a company active for over a decade. - The CEO can be unprofessional in meetings/everyday interactions. He also rarely has good ideas, but no one wants to tell him otherwise.

Pros

Professional colleagues, lots of free training, exposure to exclusive academic journals and studies, high expectations (which is a good thing for career growth)

Cons

Given the high expectations for every submission (this is a research editing job after all), the pay can be really low. The pay may appear OK at the start, but then when you get to the project you realize that the work can be too tedious compared to the pay.
