Pros

Vibrant sports and entertainment venue, free meals, reasonable pay, the promise of flexible hours

Cons

No work-life balance! Levy will literally work you until there is nothing left. Your co-workers may be nice, but the upper management is not. They only care about getting their bonus and making themselves look good. The environment they create is toxic and un-sustainable. It all comes from the top down. A few thoughts on Levy ratings: Career Opportunities: 2/5 - No opportunities for growth at a small site. You would have to relocate. Management will be happy to heap on more hours and responsibilities however, but will be reluctant to reward you with increased pay or flex time perks. They will even loan you out to other sites during your slow season so you never get a break! Compensation & Benefits: 3/5 They seem good until you factor in your hours. You might as well get two easier full time jobs elsewhere. I am serious! The bonus is a carrot they dangle in front of you that is mostly unattainable. That is, if you're special enough to even qualify. Some Levy managers are more equal than others - even though you may be a manager, you may not be in a bonused position. Work/Life Balance: 1/5 If I could give Levy a zero, I would. Levy is very one-sided when it comes to work/life balance and they will work you until you have nothing left to give to the job, your family, friends or yourself. Then they will require that you work more. Senior Management: 1/5 These people simply do not care. Except for themselves. Culture and Values: 2/5 HR likes to blow their own trumpet and say how great everything is. Don't believe it, because it just isn't true.

Pros

The atmosphere, all upper management is amazing and it’s a company you can grow in and love it while you do it! I’d work here a million times over

Cons

The only con I could put about this job is that unfortunately it’s hard to find people who want to work so it makes everything a little harder for everyone else.

Pros

Customers are typically great! Timberwolves games and concerts can be fun events to work. Shifts are typically 4-5 hours of fast-paced, but manageable. Co-workers can be nice.

Cons

At the Target Center location, you will be misled when you are hired! You will be hired as a bartender, but will never actually work as a bartender. Union and seniority make it difficult to get a regular schedule - you will be cut half the time. When you do actually get a shift, you will be forced to work as a concession stand worker, serving pizza, hot dogs, candy, popcorn, and a lot of little kids! I've worked there for a year and rarely worked behind a bar. Management is extremely unorganized, unprofessional, and there is zero communication or support. If you run into a problem during your shift, you're on your own. The "scheduling coordinator" with zero bartending experience shows favoritism, and the work assignments are unfair. If you speak up, HR and management retaliate. Toxic culture! If you need a sporadic, part-time job where you can make occasional decent money, it's an okay gig. If you can maintain a positive attitude (despite all the negativity), enjoy the customers and events, and provide good service, you can sometimes make good money.
