      Pros

      I really love the calendar/availability schedule. It is easy to use and keeps my tutoring times organized. Also you can chat with clients on their platform and protect your personal contact info. This company only takes a small percent of your earnings. The support staff send text message alerts about upcoming lessons and are very easy to get ahold of through the platform.

      Cons

      The pay is not that high $18-$23/hr. I had to respond to about 60 tutor requests in order to get three clients (however these clients have been with me for about 5+ months now).

      Pros

      It's generally not hard to find people to tutor (especially during the school year), and the quality of students is generally pretty high. You do have to reply to a lot of ads, but if you do that you will find people. Lessonpal handles all of the payment stuff so I don't have to worry about that.

      Cons

      You do have to pay your own self-employment taxes since Lessonpal isn't an employer and so doesn't send you a W-2 form.
