Pros

The location is great and you can wear almost anything.

Cons

Very strange work culture with no room for growth and a high turn over rate. The people that leave tend to be ambitious and the ones that stay tend to be lazy and complacent. Passive employees seem to do very well here. Also the actual technology is poor. The tech department doesn't know how to fix or add anything without breaking something else...which then takes a long time to fix.

Pros

Leadership is genuinely transparent -- you're not left guessing about the direction of the company or where you stand. Your coworkers are sharp and actually want to help each other succeed, which isn't as common as it should be. AI tools and learning opportunities are taken seriously here. It's not just talk -- the company invests in keeping engineers current, and that matters. Effort gets recognized in real, tangible ways, not just a Slack emoji and a pat on the back. And despite being an established company, it still has a small-team feel where your work is visible and your voice carries weight. Layoffs are rare. That kind of stability is underrated and worth saying out loud. Management actively pushes you to grow but doesn't leave you hanging -- the support is real. Remote culture is handled well too; nobody feels like a second-class citizen for not being in an office. The CEO is a human being. I mean that sincerely -- it's genuinely refreshing to work somewhere where the person at the top visibly cares about people's careers, their lives outside work, and their wellbeing. That tone comes from the top and you can feel it. When things get hard -- and every company has hard seasons -- LendKey's culture and mission make it feel worth sticking around for.

Cons

The honest leadership that makes this place great is a double-edged sword. When times are tough, you know it -- management isn't going to pretend otherwise. And without deep corporate pockets to cushion the bumps, the team carries more of the load. Long hours happen. The recognition is real when they do, but so is the grind.
