Pros

• amazing health insurance & total benefits, such as stocks, 401k, fringe points • remote work • company zoom enrichment activities • great PTO leave amount & maternity leave • I have loved it here & hated it here & a lot of that has been dependent on who my direct manager is

Cons

• management never seems to know what is going on or very knowledgeable in their department, at least for CX • ever changing expectations & obvious favoritism • direct management can be hypocritical in their policies and lose empathy at times when it comes to sick time or unexpected leave • pay is atrocious for the workload & responsibilities • very difficult to move up unless you know how to suck up • feels like being better at your job gets you appreciated with more work instead of recognition that actually makes a difference such as a raise, etc • company can feel disorganized in their objectives • the fact that CX is the only department that is required to work 3 holidays a year is ridiculous. It should be volunteer only, nothing CX is able to do is pertinent enough that it cannot wait a day. The company should stand on its values on caring about their employees work life balance in that case.

Pros

Great company/culture, great people, great exam support. Surrounded by the cream of the crop in the insurance and insurtech world. interesting and dynamic work. A nice bonus is you will learn how to code here, it's non negotiable.

Cons

No formal rotational programs. Work can get get overwhelming during exam season (maybe not a unique thing to this company). No bonuses, just equity.

Pros

When I started there it was amazing. Lots of flexibility, good pay, great benefits, and fantastic people to collaborate with. It was a real startup culture.

Cons

Once they started hiring old hats from entrenched and archaic insurance companies to be senior leaders the tone changed. Almost overnight it became just like the institutional insurance companies where you can be stabbed in the back at any moment and you’re only valued if senior leaders can see your work product. If you don’t have regular interactions with them or pat yourself on the back often you are as good as gone.
