Pros
It pays well , as of now staring pay is 24.54 plus an additional 5$ an hour if you work 40 hrs without missing a day or being late , so that’s 30.54 an hour !!
Cons
Your dealing with inmates all day, they are criminal minded individuals who will play mind games to get what they want extra food and etc, plus some are rude will curse you out and you cannot retaliate , very stressful job mentality, physically you don’t do much but stand at a podium and give orders safety wise CO are not likely to get assaulted, often the ones that do were probably mouthing off to an inmate which is unprofessional , remember some inmates are normal people who messed up but some a murders and real gangbangers who have nothing to lose, their are fights that you will have to break up so that demands physical strength and endurance.
