Pros

There are some decent people who work here that I would consider as friends even outside of work. But that’s no different than many other companies out there. Pay for sales isn’t bad but not worth tradeoff of dealing with the managers. But pay for positions like processing and customer service is really low. Benefits are ok.

Cons

Have you noticed a theme in the reviews of this place? No career opportunity, micromanagement, inexperienced managers, low pay, unnecessary stress, only about the numbers, and poorly treated employees? Yes, they are all true. Don’t expect a career because that doesn’t exist and that is for both Glendale and Austin. The Glendale office is shrinking because it is cheaper to have same position in Austin since that's why they started the Texas branch. But when you think that opportuntiies would come to Austin, they relocated bunch of managers and people from Cali. And since they are paid 20-40% more than us, we wont' be considered for any future promotions. But its not like that was going to happen because no matter how smart or experienced you are, you will fail because training is horrible, you get the crappy shifts, and micromanaged to death. Management including vp, director and manager, will make it very clear to you that if you don’t like it you can leave because there is people who want your seat (this was actually said by a manager). Don’t be suckered in by the way the company tries to sell how great it is to work there when you are interviewing - they will even tell you that the bad reviews are from few disgruntled employees. But seriously, how can you be not disgruntled if we are treated as just a dollar sign to them and not real people and everything written here is how things really are? Legalzoom makes big deal how they provide food their employees, but because we are so busy and only get to take 30 minute lunch. By the way if you actually try to use the 10 minute paid breaks, management gets mad and you can see them huffing and puffing then make up some excuse to write you up - so most of the time, we skip our breaks because we don’t want to get called into a meeting. Its sad when manager tells you to drink less water and soda at work so you don’t have to go to bathroom too much. It's always busy but it’s the same thing over and over again and you don’t learn new things. Because of their inexperience, managers create over the top policies to micromanage you. You are treated like a kid and disciplined for every little thing - one minutes late, miss your quota by one or going off script just once even if it got a sell. You get write up for taking a sick day even though we get sick days to use as our benefit. Quotas are tough and always being increased without the proper tools and training. Mandatory overtime is common, even at the last minute - but if you want time off, you need to ask way in advance. DOn’t bother asking for time off during holidays and Q1 because you won’t get it off. Because turnover is really high and theres a lot of work, there is always work to do. But because we are short, they can’t let anyone have time off so there is no work life balance. It’s a vicious cycle that the company just doesnt seem to get even though people are coming in and going out like a revolving door.

Pros

Work life balance is actually great. The people you work with are smart and generally fun to work with

Cons

Roadmap is very disorganized, you kind of have to assume you will work on any random project each day

Pros

Allows remote for the time being

Cons

AI everywhere. It seems like a return to office mandate is right around the corner (no longer allowing new remote employees). Code quality doesn't seem important anymore, only how much you can get done with AI.
