Spiffed up Warren Barr Gold Coast with fancy renovations, furniture, lighting and impractical patient care areas (The patient rooms have dividers that block the second patient entirely. Clinical staff cannot check on patient without going all the way into the room.) Its now a shiny turd.
Cons
Disregard for the patients is evidenced by the miserable employees that are charged with the care for those patients. The employees, primarily CNAs, housekeeping and dietary) are overworked (patient to employee ratio), unappreciated and disengaged. The patients well-being is dependent upon the employee morale, as they, the front line staff, are the ones that primarily interact with them. Management is a social club, hires made not based on skill or experience, but on looks or preferred religious affiliation.
