Live and Breathe Culture - Creative Director Left Employee Review

The best thing about Left is their team and their company culture. In my first week we went paint balling and won the best workplace in BC - which the entire company was invited to. They do lots of other things throughout the normal workday to engage employees and make it a fun place to work. In addition to this, they are also working on some really cool stuff, allow freedom to explore and experiment while also making sure everyone is accountable and moving in the right direction.

For some people it might be a con that the office is in Maple Ridge instead of Vancouver - but I actually quite enjoy being away from the big city, but close enough to visit. Other than that, I haven't discovered anything bad yet.

A true differentiated culture from most other companies out there today. Promotes a healthy lifestyle while mainitaining work-life balance. By keeping this simple principle at heart, the best always shines through at work. Great office and awesome teammates - its no wonder why we received the Small Business BC Award for Best Workplace in BC in 2016.

This is not a con per se, but Left is a startup and so is not for everyone. So while they encouage a healthy balanced lifestyle, there will be times where one has to work outside the 8-5 regime. If you're looking for a typical 8-5 lifestyle, then Left may not be for you.
