Pros

Clean office, ESD flooring throughout manufacturing area.

Cons

Too many to list. "Mom and Pop" bussiness, with downfalls starting from lack of process, release, adhearance to any type of control. Unprofessional management who do not tackel problems directly - no leadship, no integrity. I could not beleive some of the conversations and lack of taking ownership of company problems by management. Caught manufacturing person smoking pot in the parking lot - management did not want to pay $150 for a drug test, therefore nothing was done. One set of tools in the shop to argue over. Told by accounting that I was "in their spot" in the parking lot with 50 cars (50 employees) and over 200 spaces. No Christmas party. Employees held their own potluck on a Friday, and managment finally agreed to "I guess you can take 1 hr (instead of the standard 1/2)". Corrected about taking paper plates from front conference room for event, as they were "for customers only". Asked for replacement batteries for manufacturing, told "manufacturing sure is using alot of batteries" and investiagated to make sure it was legit. The batteries were for voltmeters on the production floor. Test stands were made out of plywood, epoxy glue and plexiglass - standard practice. Hired 2 months prior to 5000+ system production release, with nessesity of releasing 15 test stations to manufacturing. Managment could not understand why 9 quotations for customers that visited the facilty did not lead to orders. During the visit, over 20 pallets of over 2000 units were tagged with "RMA nnnn" on the production floor. Told by Software Manager that software was fully released via an ISO 16949 procedure developed by the Quality department. Procedure consisted of filling out a form and copying the software to the network - no testing, no validation, no details included such as CHECKSUM, filename, location, programming method for firmware, software utilities, etc. Told by Engineering manager at one point "I don't know what to tell you" in regards to an issue with another manager. The issue was that software did not work on the test stands, and as a result production had to use a previous version. This version was not expected in the field, which would create issues with the customer. At last I knew, large customer of $20M contract for vehicle infotainment systems for the police force were sueing for lost bussiness due to so many problems that were unresolved.
