Pros

I have been at LearnCore for a few months now and have seen how quickly this company is growing. It is a great time to be part of LearnCore and be number 1 in the industry, as the industry is growing as well. The people at LearnCore make it a success as everyone is invested in the product, and the others around them. This makes working not seem like working and always seems like we are solving challenges for others.

Cons

The downside of LearnCore is the culture. The people are great to work with, hard working, like a challenge and everyone enjoys being around each other, but the company lacks a culture. In order to attract new hire and keep people at the company, the culture has to change. There needs to be a strong work from home policy, flexible hours, and more vacation days. Put trust in your employees that the company will still succeed with these changes.

Pros

Been here for just over a year now, and things are moving, fast. It feels like every few months the business evolves. Coming from an older, slower, industry it was a bit of a culture shock for me, but I feel that I've adjusted. Its a smaller, lean group where the expectations are to execute the project, which often means stepping outside of my defined role to get something done. I really like that there is a lot of pressure on achieving personal and business goals, so I am not supporting consistent under-performers. In my old job it felt like I was doing my whole team's workload while they chatted. Management here appear to all first timers which again was different compared to my old career, but they listen, and from what i've seen so far actually do something about items asked. Things also got a lot better when a formal HR department was added. Overall its a fast paced, challenging, figure it out, team focused type of culture. Each month two employees are given a bonus for above and beyond work. I have yet to win it.

Cons

As I mentioned above the management team are all first time managers, but they do listen and make changes where possible. Specifically, I'd like a more flexible work from home policy, and better 401k match. Also, I can often be a perfectionist and sometimes it feels that I don't have enough time to do the level of work I expect out of myself. They have an internal mantra of Progress is better than Perfection.
