Pros

Growth is highly valued. A lot of companies say that, but LeanLaw lives it by encouraging people to propose ideas and projects, ask questions, coach each other on product and technical knowledge, and pursue courses that empower them in their roles. I’ve gained so many skills and gotten to take on so many challenges while working here. The people who work here are friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. Combined with the growth mentality, you get a company full of people who are happy to hop on a huddle and walk someone through something they don’t know or troubleshoot problems. I’ve never worked with a better group. Fully remote work supports a very healthy work-life balance. Sometimes I'll tell myself, “Let me just finish this other thing and then I’ll call it a day” and then I’ll look up and it’s 7pm. But, aside from that, I absolutely love the 0 minute commute time, the flexibility to make appointments for healthcare, and the ability to travel while working.

Cons

Constant growth cuts both ways as new tools are constantly being learned and discarded, responsibilities shifted, and SOPs changed. It can get stressful, and it's not for everyone. Pure remote work can be difficult for people who gain joy out of hanging out with coworkers, or who struggle with self-starting. I don’t consider it a con, but I list it here because I’ve worked with a few people who couldn’t find their momentum because of it.

Pros

I worked at LeanLaw for about a year and a half, and it was a solid experience overall. As a product manager, I had the chance to contribute to a growing company that was still in the process of refining its product-market fit, which made for an interesting and often dynamic work environment. The flexibility in terms of working arrangements was another positive aspect. LeanLaw supports various work styles, including remote and hybrid options, which made it easier to adjust to different personal circumstances. The organization is still scaling, which means there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in different aspects of the business.

Cons

The company is in a stage where product-market fit is still being worked on, so there can be some uncertainty and shifting priorities at times. It may not be the right fit for everyone—particularly those who prefer more stability or are looking for a fully established product-market fit.
