Pros

My co workers were kind and ambitious at the start.

Cons

There is a lot to be said, Ill do my best to sum some of it up. Bdurable is Leaf Home's newest addition, doing garage floor coatings. I'm sharing this in the hopes It will stop someone from making the same mistake I did working for this company. I started in a training class of 11 individuals, all from different walks, a few very seasoned sales guys, none of the 11 are still working with the company 4 months later. Right from the start with Bdurable the lies started, They train you that the product is proprietary, A specific blend that took years of R&D to develop, A product that is so strong it wont chip, bubble, or crack; In hopes of sticking to the rules on glass door, I will just leave it at that. They also tell you that the install team is top class, guys that have been in the industry for ages, even owned there own companies but decided to come to Bdurable because the product was just that much better, Another claim easy to debunk by having one conversation with the install guys and simply asking about there experience, Truth was they couldn't get installers to stay with the company and the turnover was crippling, Almost every job was done by a completely new team that knew very little about the process. This showed in there work, No less than half of the jobs I sold had major issues with install which ended in discounted work and less or NO money in the commission. They mentioned that we would being selling in the immediate St. Pete area, 90% of my presentations were 1:30+ away. Be ready to drive, and I mean a lot. assume 5 hours a day behind the wheel at least, sometimes upwards of 8. No compensation for gas. Which leaves the commission. As a Salesman you are free to price the product for however much you believe the customer will pay, the more you sell it for, the more you are payed, Sounds nice right? Well the company has a bottom line, If you sell at this price you get 0% commission, that's right, free work. Said cost price is on average above any competitors quotes. The only way for you to make any money is to sell the jobs at about double what competitors will offer. The company is also a "one and done" sales pitch, and they expect you to start high and work the price all the way down to cost before leaving, there is no keeping a book of business, If the customer, who only requested a free quote online, is not ready to buy from you on the spot, you're required to attempt to bully them into buying at "cost" which profits you nothing, Or write it off as a loss. This accounts for 75% of the jobs you will quote.

Pros

Good product, enjoyed meeting potential customers. Made a little money

Cons

Management driven by self promotion. Definitely not team builders. They'll dump a good salesperson in a minute if you're not wanting to go to a super low price to close a sale. You don't make enough to cover your gas expense let alone the follow up phone calls from that customer and dealing with confusion as to "they were supposed to be here to install my leaf filter today" phone calls from customers. No "big picture" since they keep sales, marketing, and install teams isolated so sales people have no idea what anyone else is doing. Good luck figuring out how much you made on a sale, if anything, since they don't send commission statements. Your job as a sales person is to go where you are sent and get the sale by cutting the price without regard to your personal income.
