Pros

Being able to pay bills

Cons

This is the most insane level of micromanaging I've ever experienced. It's not uncommon to have 3 different people interrogate you at once over the dumbest stuff. Constant incessant badgering by dispatch. Absolutely unhinged "check in" expectations. Vaguely worded "SOP" that can be used against anyone at any time for any reason. Skirting the edge of labor laws with expecting hourly employees provide their own tools. Also Tier 1 techs are expected to do some networking with those tools and sure aren't getting paid for it. They also gave one employee "tier 1.5" so they could pay him tier 1 wages and get tier 2 work. The owner "jokes" about taking someones lunch away to make up for potentially misplaced equipment to cover the cost to replace it. If you have to travel for work, they won't pay the first 30 miles. You have to eat that cost. If you have to travel one way 29 miles and 29 miles home, you can't claim 58 miles and get paid for 28 miles. You're just screwed. If you only spend an hour on-site, you only get an hour pay and nothing for the travel time if it's under 30 miles one way. If you're on call on your Saturday, you only get the first 4 hours paid. After that it's whatever tickets come in and you get however long they take. So even though you have to be ready and prepared to help people and your technically working that day, you'll only get 10 minutes of an hours pay if it took 10 minutes to resolve the ticket. You get 5 tickets, you're sitting at your desk working 5 10 minute tickets, you're getting screwed.

Pros

not homeless I guess, but borderline, one check away at their wage slave rates.

Cons

this place is extremely toxic, Bock family owners, difficult system admin MSP workload for horrible car dealerships clients, owner that is permanent state of internal rage and super vindicative horrible person, no PTO ever, micro management as owner sits in and counts telephone calls second before you pickup, everybody here is miserable and takes out their anger behind each other its literally a 8 person business that has not gone anywhere in 15 years. There are no career opportunities as his family members hold them. This place also cheats on on-call labor laws. this is keeping it real
