Pros

- Company has developed a strong reputation in the global market very quickly - Focused on innovative technology which is exciting and interesting - Company growing very fast and mobile is booming at the moment

Cons

- Culture of micro-management, borderline bullying, and dishonesty that is consistent throughout all senior management in Australia office - Salaries across the board in this company is generally below the average market ratrespectryone in sales is expected to work min 12-16 hours up to 6 days per week as entire clients globally are managed from Sydney - Senior management is typically very tight with any type of expense so expect to either having to pay for it yourself or expect a low-budget solution - Toxic culture and bad attitudes amongst the entire team due to poor treatment from management - You will be expected to give 200% in your role, otherwise they will either terminate you or mansge you out. In return, management will provide you with below market rate remuneration, fail to deliver on promises, unfulfilled expectations, stressful working environment, little respect or consideration and ongoing threats of job insecurity - Lack of transparency and honest communication from senior management because they do mot trust anyone from the common team with any info regarding company - The CEO's is commonly known to be very frugal with money so expect some peculiar pathetic behaviour from him such as expired (rotten) snacks at company meetings, any leftover drinks/food supplied get stored in his office to avoid getting taken so can be used for next event (which explains the expired snacks), cheap/low budget work laptops for everyone but Apple Macs for all senior management, authorised ONLY $5000 budget for company activities/entertainment for the whole year for an office of 40+ people. Oh yeah, and despite the success of the company last year, he wouldn't have spent more than $200 on our company's end of year Christmas party because he supplied a few cases of beer and enrolled us to do charity work in a Jewish food kitchen FYI - There is a review written here on Glassdooor, titled :“This place is going places ” on Mar 31, 2014. I am willing to bet all the money I have that this was written by Dale the CEO. This has his name all over it,. I can tell just from reading it. This kind of deceptive behaviour is not surprising. He once also went on the radio for an interview saying that we are hiring and have 50+ jobs available to send a message that we are rapidly growing as a PR stunt. He had a bunch of random jobs added to the website to back this up. However, the problem was that the majority of these jobs were not an actual immediate requirement for the business at the time. Shameful practice.

Pros

Mobile advertising is a massively growing space. If you are in advertising you need to be in mobile. LeadBolt is privately funded and the owners have just invested significantly and we are moving to a new office in a Class A building in a great area. There is a new management structure both here in the USA and back in Australia and you get a sense that the business is about to really take off. Its not often that you can join a business like this when it is (the American arm anyway) still small and therefore you can really make a difference and carve a name for your self.

Cons

Start-up culture is not for everyone - you need to perform and be passionate about delivering results and you need to be a self-starter and be able to run with things on your own; but if you show your worth you become part of the family.

Pros

Great Industry - The opportunity to work in an exciting, growing industry. Good Talent - LeadBolt hires talented people. I had the opportunity to work alongside really smart people who have extensive experience in the industry.

Cons

Lack of Transparency - Upper management does not share any details with lower-level employees including: company performance, company goals, new products, product updates, etc. A few high-level employees have access to all information, and the rest of the company has very limited access to the point of it hindering business. Poor Management - Upper management micro-manage lower level employees and make them feel inferior by always finding something they are doing wrong. Only negative feedback is given, and lower-level employees are not encouraged to grow and think independently. Instead, collaboration is discouraged, and dependent thought processes are encouraged. Lack of Integrity - Upper management does not operate with integrity. Employees are blindsided with constant staff changes, and passive-aggressive behavior is the norm. High Turnover Rate - LeadBolt has an extremely high turnover rate (100%). They are very impulsive always creating new positions, and then eliminating them shortly thereafter. As you can imagine, this creates a terrible work atmosphere. Everyone is always wondering if they are next. Inability To Plan Ahead & Make Savvy Business Decisions - Upper management does not plan ahead. They focus on their idea of the week, instead of creating a long-term strategy for growth and profitability.
