Pros

You get to meet friendly, intelligent co-workers who are too good for this company.

Cons

Working at Laserfiche reminded me of my undergraduate days minus all the fun. You come in happy and excited, but you quickly come to realize that everything goes downhill after the orientation week. For those of you who're considering working at Laserfiche, here's what you get and my word of advise: 1) No respect - respect is almost non-existent unless you are a developer so be prepared for some demeaning comments and gestures. Just read through some of the past, non-fake reviews and you will quickly find stories about managers like Sean Tang yelling and shouting at employees. While I heard that some of the technical managers tend to be more reasonable, there are also many untrustworthy micro-managers in this organization. 2) No trust - some managers constantly monitoring you with suspicion so be careful of what you say in front of them. The best advise I can give you is to keep your head low and avoid contact with management whenever possible unless you're willing to become their lap dogs. Also, these people are masters at making empty promises so never let your guard down. 3) No rational - management judges you based on non-nonsensical things that are remotely work-related so be prepared for unfair, biased judgments. 4) No strategy and direction - some managers have no idea what they are doing and where the company is going. Sales has gone down massively in the past year it's like Titanic. Even the CEO blindly believes that Laserfiche is the best ECM software in the market without doing any sort of technical analysis on the competitors. 5) No future within the organization - too bad if you are not part of the founder's family because you aren't going too far within this organization otherwise. On the other hand, you will easily make it to management without having the necessary education or qualification if you are a family member. 6) No guidance - there is no hand-holding what so ever. You have to learn 90% of the stuff on your own so good luck. Rarely do you get feedback and mentoring is non-existent. This is an organization that suffers the plague of family run business. If you are smart enough to get an offer here, you can definitely get one elsewhere so keep looking unless you are in a financially desperate situation.

Pros

working at Laserfiche has been a fantastic experience. I'm not even kidding. From the moment I started, everyone was just so helpful and the whole team is super collaborative. The work itself is challenging, but in a good way, and it feels like what we do actually makes a difference for our customers. If you're looking for a good company that's smart and actually cares about its employees, you should totally check out Laserfiche.

Cons

Things change fast and project shift midflight because technology changes. You got to be adaptable and ready to change or be completely disappointed. Work loads can vary greatly. There is a heavy focus on security. Sometimes you have to work on legacy systems.
