Pros

- If you work in on the road like I did for the TV show COPS, you get to ride with some really good officers. - They pay on time.

Cons

- I didn't work at the office in Santa Monica but was a crew member in the field for COPS. They expect you to lie and trick people to get them to sign the waiver to be on TV. When I refused to lie to people and asked for a chance to convince them to sign in an ethical manner, the audio supervisor, who I worked with in the field, would get angry and call me vulgar names. He said that if people knew the truth, no one would sign. Since I had to work with him the whole season, that often made for an unfriendly and hostile environment. - When something happens that the producer of COPS doesn't like, he yells at the crew. Since they don't like being treated that way, they suck up to him when he visits in person, but when he's not around, they get back at him by going home early, refusing to shoot potential stories, or not working days they put on their time sheet. If you don't agree to go along with them (which I consider theft), they will turn against you and try to make sure you don't get hired on the next year. - Even though the company has apparently made hundreds of millions of dollars from the TV show COPS, you have to pay 100 percent of the cost of health insurance for your spouse to the tune of $500 - $600 per month.

Pros

The people are generally very nice, the projects are reality TV, but interesting enough. The pay was good, and the oversight very minimal. By that I mean that the producers trust you to do what you know how to do, and aren't constantly hovering over your shoulder. No review of the CEO-- I had very minimal contact with him, so not enough to form an opinion.

Cons

The parking can suck. If you're lucky enough to get a spot in either of the two tiny lots, the spaces are too small to open your door without being in danger of hitting another car. If not, you have to park on the street and there are only mostly meters nearby. Also, the building looks like a big, depressing prison block. It's a long walk to get anything to eat, but at least the options are decent.
