Pros

Management was fantastic. I was a freight broker in an office of about 12 people, and my manager was extremely competent and genuinely wanted to help the team succeed. He'd bring in successful brokers from around the company to coach us and field questions. We were regularly invited to 1-on-1 lunches with the branch's GM, where he'd ask us how it was going and if there was anything that he could do to make our work easier.

Cons

Freight brokering is just, overall, a monotonous and disappointment-intensive field. That being said, the only real cons at Landstar (for me) had to do with the industry itself and not the company or the management.
