Pros
It may be a niche service they provide, but it is essential to the industry they target. Tremendous flexibility to use/expand existing talents and recommend new technologies, most of which are treated positively, if not implemented outright.
Cons
Communication is minimal unless you are part of the "corporate fold." There is little or no effective management structure and direction is usually given by either the owner or a family member.
