Pros

Pay is average but it will get you by.

Cons

Micromanaged, incredibly unprofessional owner, zero respect for staff. Probation period is 6 months, you can be dismissed at any given time based on the most pathetic reasonings and without warning. Exceptionally high turn over of staff.

Pros

Because you are working with a small amount of staff, a decent amount of responsibility is bestowed upon you, despite only being an Intern. You quickly will perform like an Art Consultant and you will likely be respected as one. Friendly team that is never too demanding and will want to get to know you. If you perform well, there is good promise of getting hired!

Cons

The stipend could be somewhat higher but at least it is not another unpaid internship. Sometimes business can get pretty slow at certain times of the year. Quality of work that sells is mostly decorative artwork instead of truly interesting contemporary pieces.
