Pros

To some extent nice colleagues.

Cons

Very old machines, partially >30 years. No invest in new machines only in rework, small upgrades and repair. No focus on long-term and sustainable investments. Only short-term strategy that is not well communicated. Cronyism is still a part of the business although Linpac has a 'history'...

Pros

Casual pay rate is 34/hour. Only until they try to force you to go permanent.

Cons

Warehouse manager has no proper training. He is completely out of his element. Asks casual workers what he should do. Company tends to shut down when we have surplus of stock and lack of customer orders. Workers are forced to use their annual leave or leave without pay. Production is constantly making damaged or contaminated pallets and warehouse has to waste time looking for these pallets. Warehouse manager relies on shortcuts and hiding mistakes with the help of his "cousin brothers" hoping that the GM doesn't find out. HR manager is another problem. He has turned a blind eye to many of the staff problems. Head office in UK needs to replace the dead weight managers and shifty team leaders with people who'll do the work. Warehouse issues are due to manager and inventory controller. Production issues are due to shifty team leaders. Overall issue is the one HR manager would rather hide this from the GM then fix the problem.
