Pros

Friendly colleagues during the few hours I was employed. The recruitment process is thorough—although apparently not for the reasons you'd expect

Cons

I went through multiple interview rounds, several conversations with a recruiter, and the company had my CV from the very beginning. I accepted the role and turned down another job offer to join. On my first day, I completed the mandatory occupational health questionnaire and disclosed that I have ADHD. This was the only new information the company received about me that day. Within hours, I was dismissed by phone after leaving the office. The explanation given was that I "didn't have the right qualifications"—the same qualifications that had been listed on my CV throughout the entire recruitment process and discussed over multiple interviews. The timing is impossible to ignore. The company had every opportunity to assess my qualifications before making an offer, yet the only new piece of information disclosed before my employment was terminated was my ADHD. Whether intentional or not, it creates the appearance that disclosing a disability was the catalyst for a decision that should have been made long before I ever started. Regardless of the reason, inviting someone to resign from another opportunity, start work, disclose a medical condition as part of a mandatory process, and then dismissing them the very same day is an appalling way to treat people.
