Pros

There are some good coworkers, and we help each other out if we can. Benefits are decent. Has opportunity to for hybrid schedule. Good work/life balance.

Cons

We are underpaid and management's expectations are too high. When management attempted to address the issue of everyone being underpaid, they simply said to apply for a higher paying position within the company--if one opens up. Benefits are provided, but it is sad that as a full-time employee my healthcare premium is high (chose the cheapest option) and my paycheck is low so I can either contribute to my 401K or pay for food. If you work here, you will likely need a second job. They keep moving the "finish line". I started as a temp and my contract was 3 months to hire. No one stated until later they only hire contract employees after 6 months. In order to get hired, you have to meet a certain productivity. The productivity system was made up by people who have never billed, which makes achieving it that much more difficult. I have to keep my own productivity, because management's numbers will often be wrong. High turnover rate is due to underpayment, undertraining, and high workload from day one.

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
