Pros

Agency staff have a great sense of pride in the care they provide.

Cons

Sales expectations are unrealistic and when a sales rep doesn't hit the unrealistic goal, what is their solution??? But to give you extra paperwork and BS conference calls. Makes perfect sense right? Take your sales reps, who are already struggling, out of the field using valuable time for bs calls and paperwork. And the pay is low for everyone, sales, nursing, therapy, etc. Constant staff turn over cause every other HHA ofders more pay and better benefits. The bigger this company gets the worse it gets for employees. More work put on team leaders, more documentation every month, and expected to complete on your own time. You would think a large group could offer more affordable benefits for its employees, but health insurance for a family almost doubled last year. And the online training for new hires is ridiculously long and makes people think twice about whether they should've even accepted the position.

Pros

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
