Pros

If the manager is feeling benevolent, you can work behind the scenes of some special events.

Cons

Everything about this job is a con. Expect to work at least 50 hours (absolute minimum) while getting screamed at from employees, the manager who sits in the office, and both the president and CEO. While working there, I received death threats from more than one employee and had the manager swear at and berate me constantly.Weekends, late nights, and early mornings (think 3:00am) are expected. Pay is barely enough to get by until you've completed 6 months and they award you with a commission (which is still low). It is truly a toxic environment with no incentive (other than not to be yelled at) to grow. All employees share one e-mail. If you miss an e-mail sent in the middle of the night, you can expect to have a sit-down meeting with the manager about lack of dedication. If an employee travels, LGC reimburses a fraction of what its supposed to for mileage. In addition to that, if an employee is on a trip on LGC's behalf, LGC will reimburse up to $30...but only in one sitting. If you spent $10 for lunch and $20 for dinner, they will only reimburse you the higher amount--meaning you won't get reimbursed for the $10. They are sneaky with their contracts, as well--beware!

I first want to thank you for your feedback. We are committed to creating the best work environment we can for each of our employees so I am sorry to hear you feel this way. We would like to speak with you directly because we do not want any of our employees to feel uncomfortable in their work environment. We do push our managers to be the best they can be but through encouragement and coaching. If this was not the case for you, we would like to know more about your exact situation so it can be rectified going forward. Please contact Andy Downing at 317-559-5063. I do want to address your concerns for mileage and travel expenses. There is no requirement by law when it comes to reimbursing mileage. We believe our mileage policy is fair and is within industry standard. As for meal expenses I believe there may have been some miscommunication. We allot $30 per day when it comes to meals while traveling for LGC. This can be split into several meals, so if you spent $20 at one place and $10 at another you would be reimbursed the entire $30. The only instance you would not be reimbursed the entire $30 for the day would be if you did not spend the entire amount. I apologize there was some confusion on the policy and will ensure that we clarify with our traveling managers on our policy. Thank you again for your feedback and good luck with your future endeavors! Tiffany Peterson Marketing and Social Media Specialist

Pros

-A good place to get starter HR or TA experience. -You will be trained on conflict resolution, payroll, staffing, recruiting, and many other core competencies of HR/Talent Acquisition. -You will be exposed to several industries, Hospitality, Healthcare, K-12, Universities, etc. -Recent attention to KPI focus is useful. -Ok place to do 2 years and move on to a different company -Solid place to get communication experience

Cons

-Recent largescale layoff -Company tends to take a everything is important approach. -Work life balance is very askew, expect to work weekends consistently. -Pay scale on the low end for comparable job duties, hours worked, and expectations. -Initiatives change often before results are measured, which leads towards difficulty for baseline staff to buy in. -High turn over
