Rocket ship that will be crashed by senior leadership - Manager LG Ad Solutions Employee Review

Pros

Some really great people work here below the senior leadership level. Some leaders have been open to feedback and change, like implementing a fertility benefit quickly after the old management team never followed up on it.

Cons

The most toxic and hostile place I’ve ever worked at. I’ve been told some leaders don’t like me because of my nationality and race. I’ve been screamed at for a minor difference in opinion. I made a complaint in writing to my boss about it and never heard back. Most of the senior leaders are playing politics, and it’s painfully obvious which ones are and aren’t. Whiny people get their way instead of looking at business needs. We don’t have values or operating norms which is insanely bad for our size. Transparency is severely lacking.

Pros

Decent benefits, free in office lunch, and pay is alright

Cons

The majority of the engineering team is based in India, and collaboration is heavily India-centric. Some meetings and side discussions occur in non-English languages, which can make it difficult for U.S.-based employees to fully participate and build visibility. Teams are split between India and the U.S., which creates significant time zone challenges. Early morning and late-night meetings are common, and cross-region coordination can slow down decision-making and delivery. The engineering culture is process-heavy. Work is typically assigned top-down with limited flexibility to propose alternative approaches. Innovation is not a primary focus; most efforts involve refactoring or aligning existing systems with established standards. Deadlines are rigid, and delays often lead to follow-up meetings and scrutiny. New initiatives are limited, with recent emphasis primarily on AI-related chatbot projects, some of which are contractor-driven.
