Pros

-Potential contacts in the industry -Good teams of good people, when management isn't around

Cons

Relying on an army of (unpaid) interns, Le book blags its way with empty promises of exposure, pretending to have no budget and trying to get everything for free. This ranges from anything like marketing to alcohol, as well as luxury hotel rooms the directors will lavishly vacation in while they're supposed to be used for jury members and VIPs. Working at Le Book was a depressing experience which is reflected in the stress levels of most of the staff members and as an employee or a client, you should avoid it at all costs. Their prices are extortionate for what they actually offer, be it in print or on the events: there is no customer service, no follow up and their methods have more to do with harassment and stalking than selling. For a company supposed to cater to new technologies and the art industry, they have no interest in what their clients are actually doing, no understanding of modern marketing and will simply hammer the same sales pitch (name dropping) over and over again. Despite big promises they will fail to deliver, joining as an intern or employee will mainly feel like working in a call center, punctuated by passive-aggressive emails and comments from the directors urging you to contact people and companies that have already rejected Le book multiple times. As the management utterly lacks any organization, be prepared to work very long days in the months prior to events to make up for the delays and to embarass yourself trying to invite sponsors, companies and jury, sometimes only one day before the event.
