Pros

Residents are nice to work with

Cons

Caution: Toxic Workplace Environment This workplace is highly dysfunctional due to ineffective and unprofessional leadership. The executive director’s micromanagement and unprofessional conduct have created a toxic atmosphere, severely impacting both employees and residents. Despite numerous complaints to corporate HR, no action has been taken to address these serious issues. Major Concerns: • Toxic Leadership and Manipulation: The executive director consistently turns staff against each other, fostering an environment of mistrust and conflict. • Breach of Confidentiality: She openly shares private information about staff members and gossips about residents, violating basic ethical standards. • Unrealistic Demands: Employees face unattainable expectations, frequent criticism, and non-emergency contacts outside of business hours, leading to burnout and stress. • Lack of Trust in Staff: She believes her team never takes initiative and micromanages every aspect of their work, undermining morale and confidence. • Threats and Job Insecurity: The director routinely threatens furloughs if deadlines aren’t met and fires employees immediately after they give notice, creating a climate of fear. • Inflexibility: There is no flexibility with PTO or sick time, adding to the growing dissatisfaction among employees. • HR Law Violations: The executive director has breached HR laws and company policies, yet corporate HR ignores the dozens of complaints that have been submitted. Unqualified Leadership: The executive director lacks the necessary experience and professionalism to manage staff or residents effectively. Her primary focus appears to be on her personal bonus, even making ridiculous budget cuts, such as replacing fresh milk with powdered milk for staff, showing disregard for their well-being. High Turnover and Low Morale: The workplace is suffering from a very high turnover rate, with over half the staff leaving within the first year of operation. The combination of toxic leadership, constant criticism, and unrealistic demands has created an environment where employees feel demoralized, unsupported, and overworked. Conclusion: This toxic environment is unsustainable for both employees and residents. For the sake of everyone involved, it is crucial that the executive director is replaced. Immediate action is needed from corporate HR to address these ongoing issues and prevent further damage to both staff morale and resident care. Indeed takes down truthful negative reviews
