Pros

Work from home work mode HR is very helpful

Cons

1. Organisation won't let you take leaves for first 3-4 months. 2. During conference you have to work continuously. 3. Lay-off is strategically done at the end of every year without any prior idea. 4. They hire candidates on hourly pay payment mode but after few months they fix your salary at lower amount in the name of pilot study. 5. No health and other benefits are given. 6. No guaranteed job security. 7. Asks candidate to work post working hours on daily basis. 8. Training is not given properly, even there is no work flow and manual is also not available for work, candidates have to manage on their own. 9. Seniors and team lead doesn't respond you for your queries. 10. Only good for short term jobs.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad you valued the flexibility of remote work and found HR to be helpful. At LARVOL, we work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment where timelines and deliverables are critical to our success. While we aim to balance flexibility with business needs, some roles require extra commitment during peak times like conferences. We encourage open conversations with managers to ensure a fair balance between workload and personal time. As a project-based company, our team structure and size evolve based on business needs. These decisions are never made lightly, and while we do our best to provide notice, some changes are influenced by external factors beyond our control. Compensation adjustments are handled transparently in line with the scope and nature of our projects, and we’re always open to discussions to ensure clarity. Being a fully remote company, we emphasize proactive collaboration and independent problem-solving while encouraging direct support from senior team members. We understand that LARVOL may not be the right fit for everyone, and we truly appreciate the contributions of those who have been part of our journey. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

opportunities to travel and build relationships within the industry

Cons

This is, without question, the worst place I have ever worked. Leadership is the core issue. The CEO runs the company in an ego-driven, top-down manner where disagreement is seen as disloyalty. Decisions feel reactive, inconsistent, and often disconnected from market reality. There is little to no openness to feedback, and challenging ideas — even constructively — is not welcomed. The turnover rate on the sales team is extremely high, and after working there, it’s easy to understand why. Targets are set and changed arbitrarily, often without data or logic to support them. Expectations are unrealistic and then weaponized when they aren’t met. Despite the company being around for nearly two decades, leadership continues to hide behind the “startup” excuse to justify weekend messages, lack of boundaries, and constant pressure. There is no real work-life balance. You are expected to be available at all times. The culture is fear-based. Messaging around performance frequently centers on how easily you can be replaced. Instead of building a motivated, empowered team, leadership relies on intimidation. Morale is low, and most employees operate carefully to avoid triggering the CEO’s unpredictable reactions. HR, in my experience, was completely ineffective. It does not function as a neutral support system for employees. Concerns go nowhere, and there is no meaningful advocacy when issues involve leadership. You are essentially on your own. There were also serious concerns around financial stability. Compensation and payments were delayed, with explanations tied to the company being in financial trouble. That alone created a significant level of stress and uncertainty. The product itself feels outdated compared to competitors, despite constant internal claims that it’s best-in-class. There appears to be little real awareness of how far ahead other companies in the market have moved.
