      Great bonuses and compensation level (but raises are minimal) Respect usually follows hard work Company usually manages to weather all kinds of storms well and perform to plan

      Outdated departments and corporation model Top-heavy; senior management rides on the backs of its non-bonus-earning employees Difficult to get ahead with truly creative work Super-conservative outlook Insane spin No respect for the wish to have a life outside the company Top management stays too long (15+ years) and fails to remain current

      Pros

      If you are smart and willing to do whatever it takes, you will get promoted. If you find the right mentor, your development will be a priority. If you love retail, this is the place for you.

      Cons

      Hope you get lucky with your manager and director and VP because if you end up in the wrong department on the wrong category, the environment is toxic.
