Pros

Benefit package. Employee owned,. Fellow employees were very nice.

Cons

LONG HOURS (10+ hr days, 6 days a week for the entire time I was there). Poor production planning. Low pay when compared to similar companies. My location was not profitable and both corporate and local management placed the blame on the employees production. Management seems disconnected from the reality of daily operations as they don't provide required equipment for a job in a timely manner (poor preparation/planning).

Thank you for your comments on glassdoor! We agree, one of Kurt’s greatest strengths is its Employee Owners! Because Kurt is a company with facilities in four states serving a variety of industries, we have both opportunities and challenges that are unique. Pros

It was a decent job. Wasn't great It was better than some jobs I had at the time

Cons

Pay structure still lives in the '80s benefits. Still live in the '80s and they expect you to do lots of work. Pay you very little and treat you like it. You're a child but try to act like it's family. In other words, they're going to not pay you what you're worth Making custodians build boxes when the managers are perfectly capable of doing this or they could get someone else to do this that are skilled at this, especially since we're not even getting paid for that job when the people who that being the managers are getting extra money for building boxes but having us build it. That's BS and are being used as in indentured servitude
