Pros

The learning curve has been tremendous. My knowledge in payments now is incredible better. Really smart people working together in a very interesting market.

Cons

The investors and the way people got fired. If you need to change the company, tell your people you are doing it.

Pros

A laid back atmosphere, which can be attributed to a great location in Santa Monica. Fellow employees were great too, at least the ones who were competent enough. The potential too I guess could be a pro, as this employer sold me on the idea of going global. The reality is more akin to going a couple of blocks.

Cons

I started here under the impression that this was a great opportunity to be involved in something that could go global. Over time, that impression disappeared. Quite quickly. In the time I was here, we had some very talented people. Sure there were problems, but that's the case with just about every startup. The problems started right at the top though, and that kind of problem trickles down to the rest of the company. I can attest that for every talented employee we had, there was a....far less talented person in charge. Advancement seemed arbitrary. Soon enough, those talented employees left for greener pastures. I wish I followed them sooner. I won't get into specific details of the shiftiness here, but here are the basics of what you will encounter if you decide to work here: unorganized structure, no vision for the future, oh and sometimes you won't get paid on time! No big deal, right? The ship is sinking, and has been sinking, and will continue to sink. This company had the potential, but blew their chance at something big. Now the big boys are in the game, and really, who in their right mind thinks that they can compete with Apple and Google?
