Pros

Great client list, pretty well known in the industry, free food most of the time. Since no one talks to the interns, I only got to know 2 of the assistants there and I worked under one of them. She was pretty nice and really helpful. She made sure I was learning actual PR stuff and she was also pretty protective of her interns (it was 2 of us at the time) which is good. 90% of the PR stuff I know now is because of her. Side note: I love Layla, sweetest person ever.

Cons

Ugh! Where to start? Well, NO ONE acknowledges the interns except the assistants you work under. The other employees only talk to you when they need something and they're so fake about it. One time when they hired a new employee, the executive assistant introduced them to the whole office but didn't bother to introduce us; didn't bother to acknowledge that interns even existed. $8 a day is worse than slavery compared to the amount of work interns do. I honestly think the company would not survive without the interns. Sometimes the interns know more about the collections than the senior staff do. They talk a lot of crap about their clients and there are many times I think they have talked about me behind my back. The laptops the interns use are ancient and always have some sort of problem almost every day. The CEO also doesn't speak to interns, most I got was a "hi" and "thank you" when I opened the door for her. One time during the PR class, the professor basically asked her a question on our behalf and she addressed him the whole time, couldn't even look at us.

Pros

Summer Fridays! Hybrid schedule and lovely coworkers. Work life balance is good IF you keep your boundaries with when you need to leave the office or go offline.

Cons

A lot of overtime hours and it is the norm to stay at your desk over an hour late everyday and it seemed expected.
