You may meet a small number of thoughtful, talented people. Those relationships are the only real positive to take away.

Leadership culture is the defining issue. There is a strong top-down dynamic where ideas are only embraced when they align with leadership’s (percieved) own thinking, which discourages initiative and open contribution. Input from teams is frequently dismissed or reshaped, making it difficult to feel any ownership over the work. Interactions can feel undermining rather than supportive, and over time this erodes confidence and motivation. Combined with constantly shifting direction and unclear priorities, it creates an environment where doing good work consistently is very difficult. There is a clear pattern: people join optimistic and motivated, believing they can improve things. Over time, that optimism fades as it becomes apparent that meaningful change isn’t happening. Turnover is extremely high. Many people leave quickly, and those who stay longer often seem disengaged and resigned. The overall atmosphere can feel draining and demoralising.

Recently joined and have been blown away by the vision, product and team. The openness and willingness to learn and adapt is great and this is most certainly a place to grow fast.

Have to love startup culture. Not for everyone.
